Who was able to get this website to do such weird and interesting things — like having 8 panels dissolve from one to the next? The answer is Redfin.

Redfin Solutions is a Drupal* development company. Redfin is focused entirely on the Drupal platform, which has allowed them to get incredibly good at Drupal — working smart with it, and making it do things it didn't know it could do. They also know Javascript and PHP very well, but they don't think it makes sense to re-invent the wheel with each new project.

Redfin is a member and supporter of the Drupal organization, and participates in the cooperative community that has made Drupal so successful.

Seriously, if you notice something dorky about this site that would be me at work, not Redfin.

*In case you don't know what Drupal is, it is the most popular open-source content management system around. You pay nothing for the software itself, which is written in a programming language called PHP on the the open-source Linux platform, though it can also be run on Windows servers.

The dissolve effects in the site also make use of jQuery, which is a standardized powerful library of Javascripts.
