What's It About?

Defining what the image is all about is not always easy. If I decided the image was purely about three kinds of window in a wall in Italy, then would black and white be just as effective? Not if color is part of the story of the three levels of windows.

I tried this image in black and white just to see how it works, and concluded that color is a big part of the story.
